Flooding in northwest Turkey; 5 people died, 1 did not

Officials say at least five people have died in the rain that rained down in Ankara, northwest Turkey.

A flood late Sunday in the town of Kestel in Bursa province has wiped out five members of a family and left a woman trapped inside her home.

As of Monday morning, rescuers had found the woman's body and recovered the four bodies that had been flooded, according to the local governor's office. The search for the missing person was made.

The flood also hit cars and farm vehicles and damaged farms around Castel.

Home Minister Suleiman Soyilu, who went to Kestel to oversee the relief efforts, said the slowdown in the area was "beyond seasonal norms".
