Ukraine leader cancels meetings, trips after wife test coronavirus

KIEV (Reuters) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zalensky has canceled face-to-face meetings and visits and will limit his contacts to a close circle after his wife tested positive for coronavirus, the presidential press service said Friday.

“Face-to-face meetings will be excluded in the coming days.

Earlier Friday, Olenna Jelenska said she tested positive for coronavirus but her husband and their two children tested negative.

“Today I received a positive test for coronavirus.

She said she was well and had not been hospitalized, but was living apart from her husband and children.

There were 29,753 coronavirus cases in Ukraine, of which 870 died.
