Pregnant Gigi Hadid Says 'Really Baggy Clothes' Help Hide Baby Bumps: 'Optical Illusion'

Her pregnancy was kept private for months before Gigi Hadid confirmed the news - thanks to a fashion trick.

The specific clothes serve as an optical illusion, the 25-year-old supermodel recently told a fan in the comments section on social media.

The fan asked: "How do you not have abs?" Hadid wrote back, "This perspective and really baggy jumpsuits cause an optical illusion. From the side, it's a different story!"

In April, when she appeared on The Tonight Show starring Vogue cover star Jimmy Fallon, the 27-year-old confirmed that she was expecting her first child together with boyfriend Zayn Malik. The infant is reportedly due to arrive in September.

Hadid said, "Obviously, we wished we could announce it on our own terms, but we were very excited and happy and grateful."

She said: "Especially at this time, it's a nice silver lining that allows you to feel at home and together and experience every day."

The star also revealed his current wish: everything bagels. "I ate a bagel all day," she said.

The couple has been living together on their family farm in Pennsylvania since the outbreak of coronavirus in March.

A source told People magazine that Hadid and Malik were "thrilled" about the children.

"They've gone through their ups and downs, but haven't stopped looking at one another," the source said in May. "They jump in at the time of the baby's birth and are preparing for their new lives."
