Russia's attempt to steal vaccine data unacceptably damaged - UK Secretary of Defense

Attempts by Russian-backed hackers to steal COVID-19 vaccine research from Britain were "totally unacceptable," but no harm was done, Defense Secretary James Brockenshire said Friday.

The National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) in Britain said on Thursday that Russian government-backed hackers had tried to steal the Kovid-19 vaccine and treatment research from educational and global institutions. Russia has denied the allegations in London.

"It is not entirely acceptable for Russian intelligence agencies to develop a vaccine ... to get into the system of people who are trying to respond to this crisis," Brockenshire told Sky News Told.

"There is no evidence or information of any damage or loss."
